another fan art, and this one is from Final fantasy VI
i remember i liked this character a lot, far back on my younger days.. maybe because he's a little out of the stereotype of FF heroes, i mean we always have those cool - dark- silent type and those meant - to - be - comic - relief characters. and sadly after the SNES era, the main character off FF usually deals with so much loathing and self pity, well we could find it charming and complicated at first, but now, i think they're just plain pathetic.
but Edgar, he's just great i think. he's definitely cool almost all the time during the game, but he's also gives you the laugh at times. he's a king and a womanizer, wow.
and when you thought he's just the luckiest bastard, with no life problem whatsoever, later on the story you'll come to realize that he's actually had his own problem and misery, but instead of whining and craving for sympathy, he just keep silent and take it like a man.
what a character! heheheheh. anyway so here's the one and only, the James Bond of FF series! King Edgar Roni Figaro, with his brother Sabin on the background..hehehe. among all the tools that he owned, i choose the chainsaw. because. um.. i don't know. i think it's cool and very Tim Burton-ish. i mean, yeah, a noble with a chainsaw.. very Tim Burton-ish.
Yeah, he's great. He plays up the womanizer role to confound the Empire and plots rebellion with the Returners. And he carries a huge arsenal that would make most steampunk engineers cry with envy. The chainsaw was just the most confounding one of them all.
One of my top favorite characters of FFVI! A machinist king who owns a castle that can move and fights with a freakin chainsaw is out of the ordinary, not to mention awesome. The way you portray him, I would be very afraid to battle him, what with how casually he handles the chainsaw. And, in the end, he still is stylishly dressed.
Great atmosphere and lighting--a lot of drama in this.
One of my favourite Final Fantasy fanarts. Great colours, great concept... AND GREAT CHARACTER! I think Edgar is one of my favourite characters ever. Just because what you said in the description. Great job! Instant fave!
Long live the King of Figaro!
Prince Sabin is equally badass. Just have one of them on your team and you're good to go.
